Nepal have entered the second round of the FIFA World Cup qualifier after thrashing East Timor 5-0 in the second match played at the packed Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu on Saturday.
Nepal made early headway with Anil Gurung's precise penalty hit in the 3rd minute. In the largely one-sided match, Nepal's Bhola Silwal, Jumanu Rai and Jagjit Shrestha scored apiece in the 55th, 59th and 88th minutes respectively.
Likewise, debutant Sujal Shrestha scored a goal in the 90th minute.
In the first match on Wednesday, Nepal had beat East Timor 2-1.
With today's win, Nepal will face Jordan in the second round of World Cup qualifier later this month. nepalnews.com
