Saving Files correctly is VERY important!!

Saving Files correctly is VERY important!!
I appreciate that being told how to save a file correctly may sound about as exciting as a trip to the mail box  http://www.chrisfarrellmembership.com/successgrenade/sleeping.gif- but please believe me when I tell you as soon as you start to do this correctly - you are going to save yourself HOURS of frustration and stress.
I am currently working 1-2-1 with many people teaching web design for beginners - and the biggest problem I am coming up against is a matter of simple housekeeping.

Many cannot find something they have created - or are unsure as to the whereabouts of something that is ‘somewhere’ on their computer .
You need to start getting into the habit of saving your files correctly.
There are TWO important reasons for this:
  • Files and images that are saved incorrectly may not appear on your web page (we’ve all seen web pages with ‘missing’ bits)
  • Correctly saved files are easy to locate on your computer,

I am now going to reveal the one and only GOLDEN rule.

ALL THE CONTENTS
OF YOUR WEBPAGE
MUST BE SAVED IN
THE SAME LOCATION

Repeat that with me.  ALL THE CONTENTS OF YOUR WEBPAGE MUST BE SAVED IN THE SAME LOCATION.

And this habit is very easy to implement.
Creating a Project Folder
From now on - whenever you create a webpage  - I want you to get into the habit of saving all the contents that you will need for that page – in the same location.

The location is known as a PROJECT FOLDER.

You will create a NEW project folder for every website you create.  And the contents for this website - ie your images and your files - will
ALL be saved in this one PROJECT FOLDER.

Simple enough huh?

In my eBook Create Your First Website By 3.45 This Afternoon I have devoted a whole section to SAVING YOUR FILES CORRECTLY (it’s part 7 on page 42)  If you haven’t yet downloaded your free copy of this book you can by
clicking here.
But to make your life even easier - I've made a short video below - that explains the whole process.
Let me show you exactly what I mean....
